We built Stock Sale Optimizer to be private by default. This policy exists primarily because we use Google Analytics to measure website traffic.

The Promise: All financial calculations happen entirely in your browser. We do not see, store, or transmit your CSV files, stock holdings, or tax information.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This service uses cookies to collect information about your use of the website.

  • IP Anonymization: GA4 automatically anonymizes IP addresses so no individual user is identified.
  • Data Retention: We retain anonymous usage data for 14 months before it is automatically deleted.
  • _ga - Distinguishes users (2 years)
  • _ga_* - Maintains session state (2 years)
